AdultJourneys is honest field reporting on the adult-nightlife districts of 39 cities — De Wallen, Reeperbahn, Kabukichō, Soi Cowboy, Pattaya Walking Street, Patpong, Boyztown, Frei Caneca, the Berlin sex-positive scene, the regulated brothels of Melbourne and Hamburg, the strip-club tradition of Montréal, the KTV economies of Manila and Phnom Penh, and the rest of what most travel writing will not honestly touch.

We're opening for paid members soon. Everyone on the waitlist at launch gets €25 in opening credits — one free month of Passport. On top of that, twenty founding seats are drawn at random from the waitlist on launch day: lifetime Passport membership, free forever.

actually read.

39 cities

The scenes most travel writing won't touch — and the ones it covers badly. Written by people who actually went, in cities they actually know.

  • Red-light districts De Wallen, Reeperbahn, Patpong, Soi Cowboy, Frei Caneca — the layout, the operator history, what's changed in 2026.
  • Regulated brothels The German and Dutch frameworks, Victoria's licensed Richmond venues, Nevada's brothel counties, Quebec's framework — operating realities, not the wikipedia version.
  • Strip-club traditions Montréal's Sainte-Catherine regulated industry, Las Vegas Strip room culture, Miami's South Beach, the smaller US markets that get sanitised in most coverage.
  • KTV & hostess scenes The closed-door part of Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Taipei, Manila and Phnom Penh that no English-language guide explains honestly. Pricing, etiquette, how the rooms actually work.
  • Sex-positive clubs Berlin's KitKatClub and Insomnia, Tel Aviv's beach-club circuit, the São Paulo termas economy, the after-hours rooms across Europe. Door policy, dress code, the unspoken rules.
  • Boys-town & LGBTQ scenes Boyztown Pattaya, Dongtan Jomtien, Silom Soi 4, Schöneberg, the Castro-style village in every city — covered on their own terms, with current legal status named plainly.
  • The reality of pricing Current rates per city, in local currency, with the spread between low season and high. Field-reported, not aggregated from review sites.
  • The safety map by district Where to actually walk, where to call the ride-app, where to keep the phone away. Specifically — not generic "stay alert" copy.
For being early

Three things every
waitlist signup
walks away with.

At launch
Both at once
  1. 01
€25 in opening credits for everyone on the list

When we open the doors, every verified waitlist email is credited €25 against the Passport rate — one full month of access, free. No catch, no upgrade pressure. The credit lands automatically the first time you sign in after launch.

  2. 02
A shot at one of twenty lifetime Founding seats

Twenty seats drawn at random from the verified-email waitlist on launch day. Winners get Passport free forever, a permanent Founding badge on the profile, and a vote in the monthly editorial call on which cities ship next. €25/month after launch for everyone else.

  3. 03
A signup number you keep forever

Every email gets a permanent number on submission. #001 was first. #847 will be #847 ten years from now. The number is the verification token for the public raffle on launch day, and the badge you can quietly carry on the profile after.

Verification

You must be of legal adult age in your country of residence to subscribe. The waitlist confirms the email; the activation step confirms the age. One email per number.

Privacy

Your email is held by us, not sold and not shared. One letter a fortnight at most. Unsubscribe in one click — winners forfeit if the address is no longer active at the draw, credit forfeits if the address is unsubscribed before launch.

If you don't win the raffle

You keep the €25 credit. You keep your number. You get first access to subscribe at €25/month when we open. The draw is a head-start, not a gate.

No spam. One letter a fortnight, max.
